The mass was beautiful, just beautiful. It was difficult, for sure, and a lot of tears were shed, but as my family walked in, we saw many friends there to support us. Father mentioned our dear son many times throughout the mass and gave a touching homily. On Friday, I met with several friends to pray the 7 Sorrows Chaplet for the first time. It was emotional for all of us, and afterwards, they thanked me for putting such a human face on Our Lady’s experience, and told how much that has enhanced their faith and their journey into Holy Week. By opening up about my journey, writing about it and talking about it, I’ve been able to share my faith with others and witness to God’s amazing grace. Even in the shadows, He is constantly present.
